This 6-day Lodge Safari in Tanzania, Aardvark Expeditions team will take you to the best attractive areas including the Serengeti National Park which is well known worldwide for “The Great Wildebeest Migration” which refers to the huge annual movement of vast numbers of wildebeest accompanied by large numbers of zebras and gazelles searching for food and water between Tanzania and Kenya. In Kenya the Migration stretches to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, bordering Serengeti National Park in the north.

Day 1 – Arrive at Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport:

Arrival in Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), Meet and assist at the airport and after going through Immigration, Baggage Claim and Customs, Transfer to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa on Bed and Breakfast basis.

Day 2 – Tarangire National Park:

After breakfast, your safari will set off towards the Tarangire National Park. This park with its savannah, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River is home to huge elephant herds – literally hundreds of animals. Animals gather at the river and besides elephants you should see mongoose, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs and reedbucks all year round. After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park in the late afternoon and head to the Eileen’s Trees Inn to overnight on Full Board basis.

Day 3 – Serengeti National Park:

After breakfast you will continue to the lush highlands where crops such as wheat, corn and coffee are grown. Travelling through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area you might stop for a breath-taking view over the Ngorongoro Crater before you continue to the Serengeti National Park. Serengeti means “endless plains” in the language of the Masai and you will see the grassland savannah stretching to the horizon. Bizarre rock formations dot the grassy landscape where predators roam. Blue wildebeests, Thomson’s gazelles, zebras and buffaloes are on their menu… Through the high and open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to enjoy the diversified habitats and landscapes of the park. You will arrive in the Seronera Valley for an evening meal and overnight stay at Serengeti Mawe Tented Camp on Full Board basis.

Day 4 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority:

Wake ups call at 6:00 am to have just a cup of hot coffee then proceed for the early morning game drive, this morning game drive is very important as you will be able to witness the early morning kills from the big five only if you will be lucky enough. After morning game drive back to the Lodge at 9:30 am to have your main breakfast, checkout and there after you will check out the Lodge and proceed with game drives en-route to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. Stay overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge on Full Board basis.

Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater Tour & Then Drive Back to Arusha:

An early morning breakfast and then descend the Ngorongoro Crater at 07:00am for crater tour. This is world heritage site; the incomparable Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest “caldera”. Dominated by cliffs standing some 600 meters high and presenting a sheer drop down to a wide open space of some 246 square km, and you may see everything from elephant to lion, and if you’re lucky, the near-extinct black rhino, all amongst large herds of zebra and wildebeest. In the afternoon exit the crater and then drive back to Arusha to Stay overnight at Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa on Bed and Breakfast basis.

Day 6 – Airport Departure Transfer:

On this day, you will be provided a private departure transfer to Arusha Airport or to Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will fly to Zanzibar Island or catch your flight back home!
